Heather Johnson
Heather Johnson is a Cup of Cold Water Missionary on leave studying to achieve her MA in Christian Counseling in Atlanta Georgia.
Heather spent five years serving the orphans in Mongolia. Heather had plans to graduate college and go serve in the Middle East. She made several trips there, began to learn Arabic and put her heart in that direction....but God. The Lord led her instead to an orphanage in Mongolia. There she worked as an English teacher to nearly hundred children living in the state orphanage. She lived in the ger district of Mongolia without running water or an indoor toilet. However, if you asked Heather what the most difficult part of missions is she wouldn't mention any of the obvious. Heather would likely tell you instead, it was the crushing of the missionary's heart that has been the greatest surprise and struggle of all. She writes about this crushing among many other things in her blog: www.heathervelvet.wordpress.com |
